Okayplayer is a music website containing news, links, videos, discussion boards, and even some actual artist webpages. It is geared toward the contemporary hip-hop/neo-soul crowd, and I certainly feel as though it reaches its intended audience well.
I’ve found this site essential when I wanted updates on some of my favorite artists (known to the site as “Okayplayers”). For example, I am a *huge* fan of Amy Winehouse (RIP). On the design of the site, Okayplayer utilizes great contrasting of gray, black, & white to complement their official logo. Sleek, sans-serif text also offers simple readability & a crisp overall design.
